So far, researchers have developed various synthesis methods for carbon based materials. Different synthesis methods have different characteristics and have varying impacts on the morphology and properties of materials. At present, commonly used methods for preparing carbon based materials include chemical vapor deposition (CVD), heat treatment, hydrothermal and solvothermal methods, ball milling, etc.
(1) CVD method
CVD method is a controllable synthesis method for preparing various types of materials, which can deposit solid products generated by chemical reactions of gas reactants on the surface of heated media, thereby obtaining solid materials.
(2) Heat treatment method
Heat treatment is also a common method for preparing carbon based materials. Through high-temperature thermal conversion, carbon materials with different degrees of graphitization, diverse types of heteroatoms, and varying pore sizes can be obtained.
(3) Hydrothermal and solvothermal methods
The hydrothermal and solvothermal methods involve placing a pre prepared solution of water or solvent precursor in a high-pressure reactor and subjecting it to a period of closed heating to obtain the product.
(4) Ball milling method
Ball milling is a solid-phase preparation method that causes changes in the structure of a substance through the application of mechanical force, resulting in a series of chemical reactions.
